Pin ItWith the Ibiza season well and truly behind us, one of the islands most renowned clubs, Amnesia, keeps us dancing with ‘Amnesia Future Trance‘; a 24-track digital release – complete with two 65-minute continuous DJ mixes – packed full of all the tunes that will be doing some serious damage well into the 2012!
Amnesia is home to some of Ibiza’s most famous and popular club nights, including Cream, Cocoon, La Troya, MTV, Tonight and Matinée, where regular line-ups feature the likes of Paul van Dyk, Sander van Doorn, Ferry Corsten and Above & Beyond. The big name DJs and mix of music make it one of the biggest and best dance party venues in the world. Also, one of the oldest clubs on the island, Amnesia began life back in the 70s when the island turned into a meeting point for hippies and hedonistic seekers alike. Over the years the clubbing Mecca has become one of Ibiza’s most iconic and best-loved nightclubs. Winning ‘Best Global Club’ in ’07, ’08, ’09 and 2011 at WMC’s International Dance Music Awards, proving the clubs popularity and longevity.
Mix 1 opens with the brilliant "uPad" from Jochen Miller, which is swiftly followed by Marcel Woods big muscle progressive remix of Marco V’s classic "Unprepared". Not the only one who’s got their hands of a classic, Beltek reworks the huge 90s anthem "Dreaming" from Ruff Driverz to full effect. Other highlights include First State’s sublime remixes of JES’ "It’s Too Late" and BT’s "A Million Stars", Sander van Doorn feat. Carol Lee’s "Love Is Darkness (Basto’s Bigroom Baby)", Lost Witness’ "Red Sun Rising" and Ferry Corsten "Check It Out".
Mix 2 opens with Tiësto’s alter-ego Allure, who’s track "On The Wire" featuring Christian Burns gets re-rubbed by W&W. Tiësto also gets his hands on Marcel Woods track "Advanced", whilst Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren go head to head on "Brute". Elsewhere expect the likes of ‘Cosmic Gate & Emma Hewitt – Be Your Sound (Tristan Garner Remix)‘, Paul van Dyk feat. Johnny McDaid – Home (Cosmic Gate Remix)", "Gareth Emery feat. Mark Frisch – Into The Light (Alex M.O.R.P.H. Remix)" and "John O’Callaghan & Thomas Bronzwaer – Stargazer", closing with Section-8′s stand out remix of "The Day Will Come" from Quake and Rob Tissera.
