Jwaydan is a classicaly trained British singer/composer/pianist based in the UK.
At the age of 19 she joined The Guildhall school of music and drama, has had the success of winning countless competitions as a pianist behind her, as well as professional training in both piano and cello, on which she has performed as a soloist and as an orchestral player around some of the most prestigious venues in London. she has being hailed by several A class DJs as being musically "one of the most versatile vocalists around". Praised by one of Paul van Dyk’s close collegues who noted "after being in the industry for 20 years and not once have I come across a singer who is so multi-talented, and not average at what she does, outstandingly good at all of them". She has managed to break into the world of EDM unusually fast, through both pure motivation and talent.
She started her training as a pianist under the supervision of her mother performing on both piano and cello at some of the main festivals and venues round England, Denmark, France, Germany and Austria. She is currently doing a degree in classical composition at the Guildhall.
This year, she directed her attention towards the electronic dance music industry, writing and composing all her music, and in less than a few months of entering the EDM industry, received massive support from Armin van Burren, Gareth Emery, Roger Shah, Myon & Shane 54, Ashley Wallbridge, Menno de Jong, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Paul Oakenfold and more.
Her first release "Sing With You" was included in Pedro del Mar’s compilation ‘Mellomania‘ alongside Markus Schulz, BT, Aly & Fila, Lange, Nadia Ali, Sunlounger and more.
Her second release with internationally reknown producers Aly & Fila "We Control The Sunlight" was selected by Armin for his ‘A State Of Trance 2011‘ compilation. The compilation was released on March 17 and within a day went straight to #1 in the iTunes Dance Charts in the UK, US, and 7 other countries, #2 in Canada, France, Ireland and Spain, and #3 in Germany and The Netherlands. The tune shot straight to the top of the Beatport Trance Charts one day after release, gaining a spot there at #3, #1 on Audiojelly, #1 on Armada Top 100 downloads, and #3 again on Armada Top 40.
She performed at two of the biggest events of 2010 opening for Tiësto and John Digweed. 2010 saw her performing in a number of the world’s most acclaimed clubs such as Pacha (London), Space Ibiza and La Dolce Vita (Sharm el Sheikh).
She is currently working on projects alongside some of the most respected and well-known producers in the world of EDM featuring and collaborating alongside some of 2011′s top 100 DJs.
She is currently one of the youngest vocalists in the EDM scene as well as the first vocalist in the Middle East to venture into EDM and gain support from internationally well-known artists.
Other side projects involving music include charity work in which she has worked with and raised money for children in distress who are aid victims in Romania, as well as cancer patients and children with autism/learning disabilities in Britian. She is currently working with animal and children’s charities raising money through concerts and her upcoming events.
