DJ Shah - The Balearic Music King

DJ Shah

The Balearic Music King

29th August, 2007

Roger Pierre Shah is one of the forerunners of trance music scene in Germany, but now his productions are taking a global grip. Be it under any of his projects like Sunlounger, Purple Mood or Global Experience, this genius of a man has impressed audiences by far. He is indeed the latest craze in the progressive trance music scene.

DJ Shah is entering a new phase in his mounting career. His visibility came when his track 'Sunlounger - White Sand' was featured on 'A State Of Trance 2006' compilation. The new style of tribal beats and malleable guitars was introduced to trance music and trance had a new phenomenon. He is appreciated to add variety to his genre, where some of his tracks are purely made on the chores of progressive trance and club music; others score on the origins of tribal and self-invented Balearic style.

Today, all the leading DJs take pride in involving Shah's productions in their sets - a reason one will find his tracks featured in highly anticipated trance compilations like 'In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza' by Tiësto, 'A State of Trance 2007' by Armin van Buuren and 'Anjunabeats Volume Five' by Above & Beyond.

DJ Shah's collaboration with Adrina Thorpe in "Who Will Find Me" gained worldwide accolades and was probably the most talked about vocal trance track of the year, ask Armin! "One Night In Tokyo" under the project Purple Mood was selected amongst the great compilations of 'Anjunabeats Volume Five' compilation. Shah's two dance tracks "Madras" and "Malaysia" on Tiësto's Black Hole Recordings, under Global Experience guise took global trance fans by storm. 'Another Day On The Terrace' album featuring the track "Crawling" turned out to be a great single mixed under DJ Shah's tag, the vocals done by Zara Taylor.

DJ Shah along with his brother Pedro Del Mar runs a radio show Mellomania in Germany broadcasted every Monday night from 8-12 PM. One of Shah's web page claims that there are more than 1.5 million listeners of Mellomania and is the top radio show in Germany. DJ Shah also owns a record label Shah Music with sub-labels Tsushima, Tsushima Limited, Innovative, Shah-Records, Shah-Music Digital and Magic Island Records, producing Balearic music and hosting his events at various international locations.

There is a lot much we can expect from DJ Shah (now known as Roger Shah) in the coming Trancy times.
