Voice Behind The Voice
11th December, 2007
A genuine sexiness in her voice has made Marcie a sought after essential in any trancer's audio track list.
A bartender, a waitress, a secretary, a tutor, a camp counsellor and finally a singer/songwriter, Marcie's dream to be a singer was supported by her parents who gave in for her musical interests. Forming inspirations from her father who played in a band and a pianist/dancer mother, Marcie understood the affairs of singing and what it took to be an appreciated voice. She started as a singer in pop/rock bands and barely had an idea about dance music until she touched her 20s. One can trace down her voice in "Edge Of The Ocean" with Steve Birch or "Know you" with Yamin, both sensationally sung. She has many more releases with different Trance artists that adjudge her as a great electronica singer too! She has rooted her singing from rock/pop and ideates on singing experiences from her varied genre taste.
The lady who hails from Rochester, New York has quite a few electronic records to her name and is already being endorsed by Trance biggies in their radio shows and different sets! Trance Around The World, A State Of Trance, Global DJ Broadcast or regular sets like PvD's Soundgarden, she has been everywhere. That's not it, she is also backed by massive Trance artists like Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, DJ Shah, Solarstone, Gabriel & Dresden, Aly & Fila, John Askew and The Thrillseekers.
She is currently hosting 'Behind The Lyric', a contemporary radio show on the stories behind the lyrics the EDM vocalists/songwriters write and sing. She has also released songs under major labels like Robbins, System Recordings, Deepblue, Shah-Music Digital and more.
Marcie epitomizes in her radio show that great voices come with even greater lyrics and somewhere a cause hides deep altering our minds into a world of realism and illusions, all self expressed. She is now well known for starting something exclusive for electronica vocalists and episode by episode it's only getting better for her.
