7th June, 2009Australian born songwriter / vocalist Emma Hewitt burst onto the international dance scene in 2006 as co-writer and featured vocalist on the Chris Lake smash, "Carry Me Away". "Carry Me Away" was premiered by Pete Tong on Radio 1 and went on to become a classic on dance floors worldwide crashing into the mainstream Top 10 in Spain and Norway and peaking at #3 on the UK Club Charts. The track also spent over 50 weeks on the U.S. Billboard Dance Airplay Chart where it peaked at #1 in December 2007. "Carry Me Away" received massive support from the DJ elite including trance heavyweights Armin van Buuren and Tiësto who proclaimed "Carry Me Away" to be 'THE song of the Summer' in 2007. A recent collaboration with German trance legends Cosmic Gate resulted in the haunting and emotional track, "Not Enough Time" which will be the first single lifted from Cosmic Gate's forthcoming artist album. Emma has also recently released a debut album in Australia with her rock band side project, Missing Hours. With a sound likened to that of Placebo and Garbage, Missing Hours have shared international stages with the likes of Imogen Heap and The Script. With current projects including tracks with Gareth Emery, Serge Devant, Andy Duguid, Marcus Schossow and TV Rock, 2009 is set to be an incredible year for this unique, gifted newcomer with the ethereal, unmistakable voice.
