Pin ItThere will be few clubbers who have not been touched by Audrey’s angelic voice which effortlessly infuse with trance synths to create an amazing cocktail of euphoria. Audrey Gallagher’s studio portfolio reads like a who’s who of the trance music industry with world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren, Agnelli & Nelson, John O’Callaghan, TyDi and Claudia Cazacu are amongst many that have called on Audrey’s midas vocal touch. Hailing from County Derry, Northern Ireland, Audrey’s musical career began with alt-rockers Scheer. When the band split Audrey and former band member Neal continued to work together as Lima. Chris Agnelli from Agnelli & Nelson found an old Lima demo stashed away in a BBC Radio Ulster drawer and loved Audrey’s voice so much that they wanted to collaborate with her. That collaboration became Agnelli & Nelson’s acclaimed "Holding On To Nothing" which reached #1 in the UK dance chart and featured on several compilations such as Gatecrasher and Ministry Of Sound. Paul van Dyk gave it his full support by remixing the track for his own Vandit label! A ‘Happy Accident’ involving Irish DJ and Producer John O’Callaghan resulted in "Big Sky" which was championed by Armin van Buuren and subsequently released on his Armind label. Voted ‘Tune Of The Year’ by ASOT listeners, the track has gone on to receive an Irish Dance Music Awards nomination along with an International Dance Music Award nomination for Best Trance Single! Continuing her relationship with Armin, the pair produced "Hold Onto Me" which featured on Armin’s ‘Imagine‘ artist album. Following on from the success of "Big Sky" and "Hold On To Me" the Irish gem was invited to perform on Amin’s ‘Armin Only‘ tour where she performed in front of thousands of trance fans across the world.
2010 is shaping up well too with the imminent release on Vandit of her collaboration with Filo & Peri "This Night" which has been personally chosen by Paul van Dyk to appear on both his Gatecrasher Anthems 2010 and Vandit 10th Anniversary compilations. A new collaboration with Australia’s #1 DJ TyDi "Calling" is out now on Andy Moor’s AVA Recordings.
Audrey has also been busy in the studio co-writing for both John O’Callaghan and TyDi’s new artist albums as well as working on material for her own upcoming debut. Other exciting collaborations are in the pipeline as well…
