Andy Moor
Melody Powerhouse
30th October, 2008You may not know the difference between progressive and electro, but knowing Andy Moor is essential.
Like many other great artists, Andy started mastering music from a tender age of 5, and by the time he was 21, he was already swaying a crowd of thousands.
Known for brainchildren like "Air For Life", "Halcyon", "Daydream" and his latest groove tablet - "Fake Awake", this man is the leader of the ever-changing facet of trance music. Whether it's his remixes like "My World", "Angelicus", "YearZero", or any of his productions, he instills his angelic and choppy vocal style in most of the tunes he tailors. His electro-infused style is not limited to trance, but hails to the edges of House too. His career is highlighted by a Grammy nomination in 2007 for his remix of Delirium's "Angelicus" and awards for Best Trance Track for "Air For Life" and Best Trance Producer at the 2004 Trance Awards.
At a respectable rank of 18 (DJ Mag '08), Andy Moor, like any successful DJ has established two most important must-haves, i.e. a music label, called AVA Recordings and a radio show. Some of his famous acts namely are: Tilt, Whiteroom and Leama & Moor, which already are quite famous for delivering musical beauties.
The man's music has developed its own niche, and with the ever-developing uniqueness and newness in his sound, we know he is there to surprise with his new ventures.
